Switzerland also beats Czech Republic on the road to the Netherlands!

On Tuesday 1st December 2015 Switzerland has beaten Czech Republic in the Lamadière Stadium in Neuchâtel.

 

Just like in Lurgan against Northern Ireland Switzerland made the difference in the first half at home against the Czech Republic with goals from Vanessa Bürki (1-0, 23rd minute), Fabienne Humm (2-0, 28th minute), Ramona Bachmann (3-0, 33rd minute) and Ana Maria Crngorcevic (4-0, 42nd minute). Katerina Svitkova pulled a goal back a bit more than fifteen minutes from time (4-1, 73rd minute but Meriame Terchoun who came on the pitch for Lara Dieeknamann after 77 minutes scored a fifth for Switzerland 6 minutes from time to make the final score 5-1.

 

The win gives Switzerland the maximum of 12 points out of 4 games, 6 more than Italy (who has played 3 games) and 9 more than Czech Republic (after 3 games) and Northern Ireland (after 2 games). Georgia still has no point out of 4 games played

 

The next game for Switzerland in the Euro Qualifying is on Sunday 4th June 2016 away to the Czech Republic. Before that their is first a training camp from 19th until 27th January 2016 in preparation of the Olympic Qualifying Tournament in the Netherlands in the beginning of March 2016!
